We are writing reviews during our Writer’s workshop. Students have written a variety of reviews, and now are reviewing “apps”. In an effort to encourage the students to comment on each other’s work, the reviews will be posted online in a forum on the class Moodle.
The reviews will be viewable to classmates and relatives who request and are provided the password. We encourage to you read the reviews.
As this is an online project, security factors have been taken into consideration. We will review what is appropriate to post on the web, and
your child will learn about private and personal information and appropriate on-line behavior prior to the posting in the Moodle forum. Your child’s first name will be the only identifying information on the blog. They are not permitted to post their age, email address, pictures, or other private information. Additionally, school and grade information will not be posted. Students can post their interests, their research on career information, and opinions. The Writer’s Workshop Writing to Persuade rubric will be used to assess student work.
Note:
Before your child may start posting to the forum, please be sure that the AUP has been read, signed and returned to Ms Moone.
